2023 Making Strides of Newark

Since 1993, the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® campaign has united communities, companies and individuals with a collective goal to end breast cancer as we know it.

Over the past two decades, Making Strides has grown into the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement providing a supportive community for courageous breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer thrivers, including caregivers, and families alike.

On Sunday October 15 community members walked in Newark to promote breast cancer awareness. The 5k walk started at 10am at Mulberry St. near Prudential Center.

The 10th Annual Ironbound Walk for the Cure will take place on Sunday, October 22 at 9a.m. at Peter Francisco Park and end at East Side High School.
