Boston Portuguese Festival returns to City Hall Plaza after a four year hiatus
The Boston Portuguese Festival (BPF) presented by the Saab Family Foundation will take place on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 12 until 8 pm. The BPF’s flagship event to celebrate Day of Portugal, Camões, and the Portuguese Communities will return to Boston’s City Hall Plaza following a 4-year hiatus.
This year’s celebration aims to bring together local Portuguese-American businesses and organizations, cultural associations, recreational groups, schools and community members to honor the contributions of Portuguese-Americans to the City of Boston and across the Commonwealth.
This event and all of the BPF’s events are free and open to the public. All who love Portugal or would like to learn more about the country are invited and encouraged to attend.
The Festival, which has gathered crowds of thousands in prior editions, will be composed of a diverse program of activities for all ages. Activities include Portuguese music, both traditional and modern; Portuguese cuisine; cultural and youth activities; artisanal vendors & more.
The newly-renovated City Hall Plaza is a unique venue and civic space unlike any other in Boston in which to showcase Portuguese culture.
