Moving NJ Forward – Corner of 1st and Broad

The Moving NJ Forward Foundation will carry out a solidarity action in favor of the people of Ukraine, with a drive-thru collection of goods and food. The event will take place May 21, from 9:00 AM to noon.

Goods such as canned food, bags of rice and pasta, bottles of water, jerky, diapers, baby formula, first aid and personal hygiene items are accepted (and requested).

The collection point will be by the corner of First Street and Broadway, Elizabeth NJ.

First outdoor festival of the year at Portuguese Club – PISC

The “Rancho Folclórico Danças e Cantares de Portugal”, from PISC, will hold its first outdoor festival (arraial) of the year.

The cultural event will take place May 21 starting at 6 pm, at the premises of the Portuguese Instructive Social Club in Elizabeth.

In addition, the guest group, “Rancho Folclórico Beleza do Minho”, from Ossining, NY, will also perform.

There will also be musical entertainment by the duo Bruno Costa and Danny Echeverria.

The entrance is free and there will be food and drinks for sale.
