Art Installations – Newark’s Creative Community
A new series of installations and public artworks spawned from the minds of Newark-based artists were unveiled Tuesday in the city’s downtown, imbuing a new sense of cultural and community pride. The artworks were showcased by officials from Newark-based audiobook seller and producer, Audible, as part of the company’s Newark Artist Collaboration.
The program, officials said, was created to amplify the work of Newark-based artists and encourage local investment in the city’s creative community. “We are proud to support Newark’s artists as they express their commitment to the city in profoundly creative ways,” said Don Katz, executive chairman and founder of Audible. The Newark Artist Collaboration can serve as a model for other companies and cities looking to make a meaningful impact in their neighborhoods.”
