Manny Amador is the new business manager of Local 472

Manny Amador is the  new business manager for “Local 472”, in Newark, NJ.

“Local 472”, headquartered in the Ironbound, has more than seven thousand members, with more than thirty five thousand dependents.

Amador takes Tony Oliveira’s place, as Tony retires after 12 years at the helm of “Local 472”.

“It is with great pride that I take responsibility for Union “Local 472”. I will do my best for our members, and always take their best interest as my top priority”.

Manny Amador was born in Newark, NJ in 1968. Son of Portuguese imigrants from Murtosa. Amador graduaded from East Side High School in 1986.

Two years later joined the “Local 472” as a construction worker.

After several years in the construction business, working in various positions, Amador was invited by Tony Oliveira to begin his career in the  “Local 472” administration, where he eventually became Vice-President.

As Tony Oliveira retires, Manny Amador takes his place with pride and responsibility.
