Carlos Ascensão’s Eagle project helps residents

Being helpful, the third tenet of the Scout Law, inspired Carlos Ascensão in the planning of his recently completed Eagle Project to accommodate the growing needs of several groups at St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny. Ascensão, a 16- year old Kearny rising senior at High Tech High School, Life Scout and Senior Patrol Leader of Unit 305, renovated the large kitchen area in the church basement and created a multi-purpose meeting room. He is the son of David and Cláudia Ascensão from Kearny and roots in Murtosa and Colombia.
