CONNECTICUT | UConn launches new initiative so lower-income students get free tuition

Lower-income Connecticut residents with undergraduate children entering the 2020 fall class will qualify for free-tuition, according to an announcement recently made by the university’s President, Thomas C. Katsouleas.

According to information on the school’s site, the tuition initiative, known as the Connecticut Commitment, will provide high quality, affordable education for in-state students, for a family in Connecticut with a household income of $50,000 or below annually.
