Ironbound, Newark, NJ –  New ambulance and first aid substation

The new Ironbound ambulance and first aid substation were dedicated on last Saturday, April 30.

The new space, at 399 New York Avenue, is a partnership between the University Hospital of Newark and the Ironbound Ambulance Squad corporation.

Present at the dedication were Sharif Elnahal, CEO of the University Hospital; Jason Brady, the Executive Director of Emergency Services at the University Hospital and Angela Williams, the advisor to the Mayor of Newark.

“Thanks to this partnership, the Ironbound community can once again count on an efficient ambulance and first aid service”, emphasizes Maria de Almeida, Cultural Liaison of Community Health, speaking to the LUSO-AMERICANO newspaper.
