Mayor Alberto Santos joins Knights of Columbus in honor ceremony

With great pride the Town Council and Alberto Santos, Mayor of Kearny joined Knights of Columbus Council No. 6928 in honoring the Police Officer of the Year, Sean Kelly, Firefighter of the Year, Yamil Miranda, the Knight of the Year, Alberto Moreira, and the Catechists of the Year, Alexis Bittle of St. Cecilia’s and Donna Yezzi of St. Stephen’s. We recognized their commitment to excellence and their desire to contribute beyond him or herself. This ceremony, while one of several honoring police and firefighters that we hold each year in our community, is the only one that highlights the intersection of faith, public service and the men and women who serve as police officers and firefighters.
