Newark Public School students and teachers receive free library card from the Library



Every Newark Public School Student and Teacher – 45,000 in Total – received free library cards from the Newark Public Library in observance of Library Card Sign-Up Month.

On Tuesday, September 10, 30 4th Graders and teachers from Newark Elementary Schools, Schools Superintendent Roger León, Newark Public Library Director Jeffrey Trzeciak and local dignitaries, including Chief Education Officer for the city of Newark Toni Richardson, participated in a ceremony held at the Newark Public Library (Main Branch), 5 Washington St., in Newark.
