Penguin House to publish Portuguese author Afonso Cruz’s new novel

Afonso Cruz’s new novel, “Flores” was published by Penguin Random House on September 3, 2015.

Cruz found literary acclaim with publisher Alfaguara, a press recently acquired by the Penguin Group, who published the 2012 novel “Jesus Cristo bebia cerveja”, considered by Time Out magazine and Público as “Book of the Year”. Cruz successfully followed “Jesus” with “Para onde vão os guarda-chuvas”, last year’s winner of the “Author’s Prize” in Narrative Fiction by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores.
