Portuguese-American called to the National Soccer Team

The Portuguese-American Melina Rebimbas was called up to the US under-17 soccer team that is competing in the CONCACAF qualifiers in Santo Domingo between April 23 and May 8.

Daughter of José Rebimbas (basketball coach at Seton Hall University and Dr. Lisa Rebimbas, educator at Scotch Plains/Fanwood District, the young forward was part of the PDA soccer team, currently plays for Rutgers Prep and next year will play for the University of North Carolina.
