Portuguese artist Manuel Cargaleiro honored in Paris


Portuguese artist Manuel Cargaleiro  received on Monday, Nov. 25, in Paris, the medal of Cultural Merit of Portugal and the Grand Vermeil Medal, the highest award of the French capital, in the presence of the Portuguese Prime Minister, António Costa.

The tribute to Manuel Cargaleiro, started at the Champs Elysées-Clémenceau metro station. This station was originally designed and fully decorated by the Portuguese artist in 1995, including the tile panel “Paris-Lisbonne”, and was recently enlarged, receiving new works from the master.
