Queen of Fado Amália celebrated in new tribute album and documentary

A new tribute album to the Queen of Fado will be released on July 10th by Universal. Six contemporary fado voices will pay homage to Amália Rodrigues on this new disc: Carminho, Gisela João, Ana Moura, Camané, António Zambujo and Ricardo Ribeiro.

Along with the six fadistas are other stellar musicians like Caetano Veloso, Mayra Andrade, Bonga and Celeste Rodrigues, who will also contribute to the album being creatively directed by Ruben Alves, director of the film “Gaiola Dourada”.
