The Star-Ledger newspaper ends print publication

On Sunday, February 2 The Star-Ledger newspaper published its final print edition.

Contained inside the final edition is a 16-page special section entitled “Thank you, New Jersey”, celebrating the newspaper’s history as one of the state’s leading news outlets.

The Star-Ledger’s roots can be traced back to 1796, evolving over the years into today’s digital only version.

The company announced its decision to end printing in October, 2024 citing rising costs, decreasing circulation and reduced demand of print copies.
