Prince Henry Society of Fall River accepting scholarship applications
Students of Portuguese descent from Fall River area schools may now apply for the annual Fall River Chapter of the Prince Henry Society scholarships.
The scholarships are open to students graduating from Argosy Charter School, Atlantis Charter School, Bishop Connolly H.S., B.M.C. Durfee H.S., Diman Regional Vocational Technical H.S., Joseph Case H.S., Seekonk H.S., Somerset Berkley Regional H.S., Tiverton H.S., and Westport H.S. Students who live in Greater Fall River but attend other area schools should contact the Society’s New Bedford or Taunton chapters to see if they are eligible for their scholarships.
“This small contribution is not only financial assistance to relieve some of the financial burdens but is an investment in the betterment of our community,”Robert Medeiros stressed.
Application forms are available from guidance counselors and from the Society website at www.phsfr.org/scholarship-program. They may be submitted electronically by April 1 to [email protected]
