Police recovered multiple high-capacity magazines at scene
Last update says that 13 people were wounded this Tuesday, April 12, after a construction vest-clad gunman fired on passengers near the 36th Street stop in Sunset Park, according to police sources. The gunman remains at large.
Multiple high-capacity magazines were found at the crime scene, same sources say they believe the gun jammed during the shooting.
President Biden was briefed on the Brooklyn subway shooting this morning, and his administration was in contact with Mayor Adams and the NYPD, according to the White House.
Senior White House officials were communicating with Adams and Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell, the White House said, after the shooting in Sunset Park.

Adams was being briefed after the shooting, according to City Hall. D/N/R subway service froze across much of Brooklyn and parts of Manhattan, officials said.
“While we gather more information, we ask New Yorkers to stay away from this area for their safety and so that first responders can help those in need and investigate,” tweeted Fabien Levy, a spokesman for Adams.
The mayor has been confined to Gracie Mansion after testing positive for COVID on Sunday.
