Vince Baglivo succeeds Seth A. Grossman as IBID Executive Director – Grossman retiring after 20 years leading the Ironbound district

Vince Baglivo, longtime Associate Director of the Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID), will succeed Seth A. Grossman after 20 years as the organization’s Executive Director upon Grossman’s retirement, effective July 1st.

“Vince has spent many years as Seth’s number two, and has made important contributions to the IBID, particularly through his leadership on marketing and communications initiatives,” noted IBID President Manny Lopes. “At a time of tremendous growth in the Ironbound, our board is pleased to have someone like Vince, who has a long history with our district and knowledge of our goals and priorities, to take over for Seth.”

“This transition has been ongoing for months, and the process has been smooth and seamless,” added Grossman. “Vince has effectively represented the IBID through partnerships with other organizations in the City of Newark for many years and has helped build a cooperative and collaborative effort to ensure a bright future for the Ironbound and Newark.”

“I am honored to follow and build upon Seth’s decades long commitment and contributions to the Ironbound District and the City of Newark,” Baglivo concluded.

“The district’s foundation is solid and strong, and we will continue to emphasize and reinforce its reputation as Newark’s Live, Work, Play neighborhood, focusing on keeping the Ironbound clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who lives, works, or visits our community.”

Baglivo, a Newark native, has been involved with communications efforts in the city for more than 30 years, starting with the position of Media Relations Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Newark. He has represented multiple Newark based clients, including PSE&G, Verizon, and Mutual Benefit Life.

He has also consulted with other managed districts in Newark, as well as districts in Bergenfield, Fair Lawn, Flemington, Netcong, Somerville, Tenafly, and Washington Borough. A contributing writer for New Jersey Business Magazine and other publications, he also serves as a board member for the Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau.
