Uk Prime Minister – Boris Johnson resigns

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his resignation yesterday and said he would continue to serve in the post until his party selects a new leader.

Johnson said a timetable for his departure would be laid out by next week. Many of his lawmakers would like him to go sooner than that.

More than 50 Conservative lawmakers have resigned from Johnson’s scandal-plagued government this week, saying he was no longer fit to lead the country.
