Luís da Silva Jr. returns to the big screen as “Captain Lawson”

“Stowaway” is the most recent movie directed by Declan Whitebloom.

This is an action movie which premiered in American theaters on August 5.

Frank Grillo, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Ruby Rose are part of a cast that also includes the Luso-American Luís da Silva Jr., who plays the role of “Captain Lawson”.

More than 10 years later, Luís will play a part in the “Fast and Furious” saga. “Fast X” is being produced at  the moment, with some scenes filmed in Portugal. Besides Luís, the cast also includes the Portuguese actors, Joaquim de Almeida  e Daniela Melchior. The movie will arrive in theaters in May 2023.   

In an interview with Luso-Americano News-paper, Luís said this is a really special moment of his life. “I have been really busy working and also recently, I got married and had a kid.”

At the age of 40, Luís is proud of what he has accomplished so far, having parts in several movies. His filmography includes “A Family Fury”, “Starvation Beach”, “Red Winter”, “The Lurking Fear”, “Sole Searchers”, “Little Dixie, “Respect the Jux” and “Good News”. 

His next part will be as “JJ” in a movie with Machine Gun Kelly and Kevin Bacon, named “One Way”, which will premier in September 2.

Luís Fernando da Silva Jr. was born in 1982, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. His father is from Tondela.

Besides his career as an actor, Luís also wrote  a children’s book named “A boy named Boo”.
