NEWARK. Candle procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima 

On May 12th, a beautiful candlelight procession took place in Newark, honoring Our Lady of Fatima. 

The event, held in anticipation of the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima on Tuesday, May 13th, brought together the Portuguese Catholic community from Ironbound in a heartfelt walk of faith. 

Starting at the Our Lady of Fatima Church, participants gathered to pay tribute to the Virgin Mary, with many holding candles as they walked through the streets of the neighborhood. The procession was a moment of prayer and reflection, strengthening the bonds of the community and celebrating their shared devotion.
