The Salvation Army Newark Area Services is hosting its first-ever “Design-A-Bin” Arts Education Contest at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Newark Ironbound, 11 Providence Street.

As a part of 150 years of ‘Doing the Most Good,’ the contest serves as a platform for amateur artists — school-aged youth (K-12) to college students — to work on their art under the supervision of various youth organizations and classrooms throughout the City of Newark. 35 semi-finalists have been selected and their artwork is now on exhibit for public voting at The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club in Newark Ironbound and The Gateway Project.
