Sport Club Português to host Rusgas Festival this Saturday

Sport Club Português will welcome the vibrant Rusgas 2026 event on Saturday, January 10, celebrating Portuguese culture and tradition.

Organized by the Rancho Folclórico “Camponeses do Minho”, the event will feature folk groups from northern Portugal’s Minho region, offering traditional dances, singing, and concertina music in a lively, festive atmosphere.

Admission is free, and parking will be available at 32 Congress Street. Food and drinks will be sold on-site, and organizers encourage attendees to arrive early to enjoy the full experience, including a special menu.

Confirmed performers include the Rusgas of Camponeses do Minho, Rancho Sonhos de Portugal, Rancho Dança na Eira, Rancho Casa do Minho, Rancho Beleza do Minho, Rancho Danças e Cantares de Portugal, Rancho Alto Minho, and Rancho Casa dos Arcos. Musical entertainment will also feature Grupo Concertinas D’Ouro.

The Rusgas are a celebration of Minho traditions, keeping Portuguese heritage alive through colorful costumes, music, and dance, and bringing the community together in a lively showcase of culture and pride.
