Union, NJ – Man injured in gunfight

A 44-year-old Union County man was critically injured in what police described as a “gunfight” outside a bar in Hillside.

The shooting took place around 1:30 a.m. outside Tanky’s Bar & Grill on the 300 block of Long Avenue, Hillside police said. He is in critical but stable condition, the chief said. The third shooter fled in a dark-colored SUV.

“Hillside police detectives are investigating the incident and have already made significant progress,” the chief said. “We expect to resolve this case in short order.”
