Trace levels of lead in Newark water drop and is now below national safety standards

The city of Newark is celebrating a new mile- stone in its three-year plan to eliminate all trace levels of lead in its water, as the latest round of testing shows levels have dropped to 14.1 parts per billion, below the federal government’s acceptable benchmark of 15 parts per billion.
